It so happens that a prominent ”animal rights” organization did a study comparing wild animals to zoo animals, and found that animals living in the wild are healthier than animals living in a zoo. It was also found that when predation was taken out of the equation, (i.e. animals dying only of old age), the wild animals were living longer than the zoo animals.
I have done my own study on the subject and find myself in total agreement with the above study. But I also found that what the above study missed, (or chose not to include), is that the zoo animals enjoy free healthcare!

That is a very accurate concept that many people will never see. Many Zoo Keepers around the world think they can take care of the Animals better than Mother Nature can. Just like the Government thinks they can take care of our families better than we can.
