It was rationalized that forcing people to buy car insurance was lawful due to the fact that “driving is not a right it’s a privilege”. Now a healthcare bill is being considered for passage that allegedly includes, among other things, a provision for forcing people to buy health insurance because healthcare is not a privilege it’s a right. I’m still scratching my head over this one.
